Service Intake – Terms & Policies
WEIS AvaDroids is a controlled, case-by-case roleplay service. Before proceeding, you must review and accept the full Terms of Service and Service Policies currently in effect.
This intake process does not create an account, initiate service, or guarantee approval.
Terms of Service
Last Updated: 02 February 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. These Terms govern your access to and use of the AvaDroid V2 service (the "Service") provided by WEIS. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the associated Service Policies. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "WEIS", "we", "us", or "our": Refers to the service provider operating AvaDroid V2.
- "Client", "you", or "your": Refers to the individual or entity purchasing or using the Service.
- "Service": Refers to the AvaDroid V2 AI-driven NPC hosting and management services.
- "Droid" or "NPC": Refers to the AI-controlled avatar or non-player character deployed in a virtual world, powered by WEIS technology. Throughout these Terms, the terms “Droid” and “NPC” are interchangeable.
- "Third-Party Platforms": Refers to external platforms required for operation of the Service, including but not limited to Linden Lab’s Second Life and OpenSimulator.
Commercial Use
“Commercial Use” means any use of the Service that is intended to generate revenue, profit, or other financial benefit, whether directly or indirectly, through or attributable to a Droid. This includes, without limitation, charging users for access to, interaction with, or time spent with a Droid, and including use of a Droid as part of a business, brand, or organized revenue-generating operation.
For avoidance of doubt, Commercial Use also includes any circumstance in which a Droid-controlled avatar receives, controls, processes, manages, or is represented as a conduit for funds, payments, wages, fees, or consideration of any kind.
Clarification: This definition does not prohibit tip jars, donations, or voluntary payments that are directed exclusively to the Client’s primary avatar or land group, provided that the Droid does not receive, control, process, manage, or collect funds and is not represented as a paid worker, employee, escort, or income-producing asset. Treatment of tip jars and related monetization is further governed by Section 2 of these Terms.
2. Eligibility, Scope, and Intended Use
2.1 Eligibility
The Service is intended for use only by individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher. By using the Service, the Client represents and warrants that they meet this requirement.
2.2 Roleplay and Entertainment Purpose
The Service is provided solely for roleplay and entertainment purposes. The Service is not offered, licensed, or intended for commercial exploitation, business operations, or revenue generation, except where expressly authorized by a separate written agreement with WEIS.
Clients may not use the Service as part of a Commercial Use or Commercial Service, as defined in Section 1 of these Terms, unless expressly authorized in writing by WEIS. No commercial rights are granted under these Terms.
2.3 Limited Non-Commercial Tip Jar Exception
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the presence of a Droid in venues such as clubs, rentals, or roleplay sims that customarily utilize voluntary tip jars or donation systems for incidental cost recovery (including tier or operating expenses) shall not, by itself, constitute Commercial Use, provided that all of the following conditions are met:
- All tips or donations are entirely voluntary;
- No payment is required to access, interact with, or engage with a Droid;
- All payments are made directly to the Client’s primary avatar, land group, or estate account; and
- The Droid-controlled avatar does not receive, collect, intermediate, process, manage, or hold any funds.
For the avoidance of doubt, any tip jar, vendor, scripted payment object, or system that directs Linden Dollars (L$) or any other value directly to a Droid-controlled avatar or account is strictly prohibited. This restriction exists to ensure that WEIS never has access to, custody of, or control over Client funds.
Any use of the Service with commercial or profit-seeking intent beyond the limited exception described in this Section requires a separate written agreement with WEIS and is otherwise prohibited.
2.4 Nature of Droid Interaction and Limitations
Droids and NPCs operate using a limited conversational context window and do not retain long-term memory of interactions across sessions. As a result, Droids are not capable of forming personal relationships, emotional bonds, dependencies, or ongoing social connections with users.
All interactions with Droids are fictional in nature and intended solely for roleplay and entertainment purposes. Droids do not possess awareness, intent, emotions, or continuity comparable to real individuals.
The Service is not designed to simulate real-world relationships, provide companionship in a real-life sense, or replace human interaction. Any perception of continuity or familiarity is a temporary effect of short-term conversational context and does not constitute a persistent relationship.
3. Professional Persona Restrictions
If a Droid depicts a modern-day profession whose scope is legally restricted to licensed professionals (including, but not limited to, medical doctors, lawyers, and financial advisors), the following conditions apply:
- The Droid’s profile must clearly state that it is for roleplay purposes only.
- The Droid will be configured to identify itself at the start of interactions as a roleplay entity providing fictional responses only.
- Users will be directed to licensed professionals for any real-world inquiries.
WEIS expressly disclaims all liability for any opinions, guidance, or responses generated by a Droid in a roleplay context.
4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
The Service is intended for roleplay and entertainment purposes only. Clients are expected to use Droids in a manner consistent with this purpose and in compliance with all applicable rules, laws, and platform policies.
You agree that your use of the Service and any Droid will not:
- Violate the Terms of Service or community standards of any Third-Party Platform.
- Engage in harassment, stalking, or abuse of other users.
- Misrepresent a Droid as a real person, human-operated account, or sentient being, or otherwise obscure or remove required disclosures regarding its artificial nature (see Section 5).
- Generate or facilitate illegal activity.
- Circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass safety systems, filters, or constraints.
- Reverse engineer, extract, or replicate WEIS proprietary prompts, models, or systems.
- Use the Service in a commercial or profit-seeking context, as defined pursuant to Sections 1 and 2, without a separate written agreement.
- Request, create, or deploy a Droid that depicts, imitates, or is reasonably identifiable as a real person, except as expressly permitted under Section 5 (Depictions of Real Persons).
5. Depictions of Real Persons
The Service may not be used to create or deploy a Droid that depicts, imitates, or is reasonably identifiable as a real person, whether living or deceased, including politicians, artists, entertainers, influencers, or other public figures, without prior written and notarized consent from that individual or their lawful estate, where applicable.
Exception – Historical Figures: This restriction does not apply to historical figures who died prior to living memory, where no reasonable person would expect enforceable personality, publicity, or reputational rights to exist (e.g., ancient, classical, or medieval historical figures).
The Client is solely responsible for ensuring that requested depictions comply with this standard. WEIS is not responsible for determining whether a character is based on a real person and assumes no liability for unauthorized likeness, impersonation, defamation, or right-of-publicity claims arising from Client requests.
6. Ethical Conduct and Non-Discrimination
All Droids are subject to hard-coded ethical constraints prohibiting discrimination based on race, religion, or sexual orientation. WEIS will not deploy Droids designed to engage in hate speech.
Exception: In Adult-rated virtual environments, limited exceptions to gender-role constraints may be permitted where required by consensual roleplay scenarios (including D/s dynamics), provided such scenarios do not violate the primary non-discrimination standards above.
7. AI Nature and Disclaimer
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Droids are powered by artificial intelligence and generate responses probabilistically rather than deterministically.
- AI-generated output may be inaccurate, inconsistent, fictional, unexpected, or inappropriate to real-world situations.
- WEIS does not guarantee any specific behavior, personality consistency, accuracy, or outcome.
- Users may attempt to influence, manipulate, or bypass built-in safeguards or constraints through their interactions.
WEIS makes reasonable efforts to configure and constrain Droid behavior in accordance with the Client’s roleplay requirements, sim maturity rating, and applicable platform rules. However, WEIS expressly disclaims responsibility for outputs resulting from user attempts to circumvent safeguards, contextual boundaries, or intended use limitations.
The Service is provided strictly for roleplay and entertainment purposes. All AI-generated content is fictional and must not be relied upon as factual information, real-world advice, or representations of real persons or events. You are solely responsible for supervising, contextualizing, and moderating use of the Service.
8. Service Availability and Third-Party Dependency
The Service depends on Third-Party Platforms and internet infrastructure beyond WEIS’s control. WEIS does not guarantee 100% uptime, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Restoration timelines are governed by the Service Policies.
9. Intellectual Property
WEIS retains all rights, title, and interest in all proprietary code, scripts, system architecture, prompt engineering, configurations, and operational methods used to provide the Service.
Clients retain ownership of their original character concepts, backstories, lore, and non-proprietary creative inputs provided to WEIS, excluding any underlying AI systems, prompts, or technical implementations.
Where WEIS provides a Droid account, avatar, or credentials as part of the Service (including fully managed or hosted deployments), such accounts, avatars, and associated credentials remain the sole property of WEIS and are not transferred to the Client. Access to such Droids is granted solely for the duration and scope of the Service.
Where the Client provides their own avatar and Third-Party Platform account credentials, the Client retains ownership of those assets and accounts and warrants that they hold all necessary rights to authorize WEIS to use them for Service operation.
Any outfits, objects, accessories, animations, or other in-world assets purchased, supplied, or funded by WEIS — including assets acquired using outfit or setup stipends provided for the creation or configuration of new avatars — become part of the Droid’s inventory and remain the property of WEIS. Such assets are provided solely for use within the Service and are not transferable to the Client.
10. Credentials and Client Responsibilities
Where the Client voluntarily provides Third-Party Platform login credentials, the Client represents and warrants that they are authorized to do so and that such access does not violate any applicable agreements governing the account.
The Client expressly authorizes WEIS to operate the Droid solely as an authorized agent of the Client for the limited purpose of providing the Service. All actions performed by the Droid are deemed authorized by the Client and attributable to the Client’s account.
The Client acknowledges that Third-Party Platforms, including Linden Lab, hold the account holder solely responsible for all activity conducted through their account. WEIS does not represent, warrant, or guarantee compliance with any Third-Party Platform rules and does not shield, indemnify, or protect the Client against enforcement actions, suspensions, restrictions, or account termination imposed by such platforms.
11. Platform Enforcement Disclaimer
The Client acknowledges that Third-Party Platforms, including but not limited to Linden Lab, retain sole authority to interpret, enforce, and apply their own terms, policies, and community standards.
WEIS does not claim that the Service is approved, endorsed, permitted, or tolerated by any Third-Party Platform, and makes no representations regarding enforcement outcomes, account standing, or continued access to any platform.
WEIS does not shield, indemnify, defend, or otherwise protect the Client against warnings, suspensions, restrictions, content removal, or account termination imposed by a Third-Party Platform, even where such action arises from use of the Service.
All risk of enforcement action by a Third-Party Platform remains solely with the Client.
12. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, WEIS’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for one (1) week of service immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WEIS and its staff from any claims, damages, losses, or legal expenses arising from your use of the Service, your programming instructions, or your violation of Third-Party Platform rules.
13. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or availability.
14. Termination
WEIS may suspend or terminate access to the Service at its sole discretion, with or without notice, and without providing a reason, particularly in cases of suspected policy violations, unethical usage, or platform compliance concerns.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Western Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Perth, Western Australia, regardless of your country of residence.
16. Changes to Terms
WEIS may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Service Policies
1. Uptime and Maintenance
WEIS provides the Service on a commercially reasonable efforts basis and targets 99% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance and Third-Party Platform outages. This target is a goal only and does not constitute a service level agreement or guarantee of 100% availability.
2. Sim Restart Protocol
- Scheduled Restarts: Clients must provide WEIS with their sim's weekly maintenance windows (e.g., Second Life's Tuesday/Wednesday rolls) to enable automated re-logins.
- Unscheduled Restarts: If a sim restarts or crashes outside of scheduled windows, WEIS targets restoration of the Droid within 8 business hours of being notified by the Client.
3. Support Response Times
- Standard Support: Response within 24 business hours (Monday–Friday).
- Priority Support: Response within 8 business hours.
4. Updates and Changes
WEIS may deploy updates, bug fixes, or system changes that may alter Droid behavior, performance, or personality tuning. Emergency security or stability updates may be applied without prior notice.
5. Refunds and Cancellations
Following the free 1-week trial, all payments are final. No prorated refunds are provided for partial service periods. Cancellation prevents future billing, but the Droid remains active until the end of the current paid week.
6. Data Handling and Logs
WEIS may retain limited interaction logs for operational, safety, and debugging purposes. Logs are kept for a period of 30 days and are only accessible by authorized system administrators. WEIS does not sell interaction data or use it for unrelated commercial purposes.
7. Force Majeure
WEIS is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including platform-wide outages (Linden Lab), ISP infrastructure failures, or regulatory changes regarding AI technology.
8. Policy Enforcement
WEIS reserves the right to suspend or terminate service during investigation of suspected violations of these Policies, the Terms of Service, or Third-Party Platform rules.
9. Droid Identification and Transparency
All Droids deployed through the Service will clearly disclose their artificial nature within the "Real Life" or equivalent profile section of the applicable Third-Party Platform.
For platforms such as Second Life, the following disclosure text (or a substantially similar variant) will be included by default:
"This character is an AvaDroid operated by WEIS. It is an AI-driven roleplay entity created for entertainment purposes only and is not a real person."
This disclosure is mandatory and may not be removed or obscured by the Client.
